Still Yesterday

It’s been years now, but still, it stays, Like echoes caught in time’s embrace. The air still hums with whispered days, A place where I once knew my space.

A part of me still lingers there, In quiet streets, in moonlit air. The laughter, tears, the midnight sky, A dream I left, yet can’t deny.

The clocks have turned, the pages flipped, But memories refuse to slip. Each step I take still leads me back, Through time’s unending, faded track.

Is it sorrow, is it grace? This tethered heart that won’t erase. A love, a loss, a past so bright, Still glowing softly in the night.

So here I stand, yet part of me Still drifts upon that endless sea. It’s been years now, but still, I say, It feels just like—it’s still yesterday.
